When you purchase items from the iHeartDogs store, a portion of those proceeds go to Greater Good Charities. Greater Good has a Rescue Bank program that provides healthy food for various shelters and rescues, allowing them to focus their funds on other care requirements instead. Many dogs have benefitted from these generous donations, including a Chihuahua named Yorden.

5-year-old Yorden arrived at What We Do For The Love Of Pets in Detroit, Michigan after his family surrendered him. He’s a very loving, playful dog, but his family said he didn’t play nicely with their new baby. So, they had no choice but to give him up. Luckily, the rescue was eager to help him out.

What We Do For The Love Of Pets is a foster-based rescue that specializes in puppies and small dogs. They receive Rescue Bank donations from Greater Good Charities, so they don’t have to worry about paying for healthy meals for every dog. Instead, they can focus on the other areas of the dogs’ care, including finding them homes.

Yorden’s Second Chance

Yorden might be a tiny Chihuahua, but he has lots of energy to go around. He’s shy at first, but the volunteers say that he quickly comes around. He loved running around and playing with the other dogs in his foster home. Yet, he was only at the rescue for a limited time before someone fell in love with him and wanted to adopt him.

Now, Yorden is living his best life with his perfect family. His home has a huge yard to run around in, and he has a Chihuahua sibling to play with him. He has a cat sibling too, but they’re not quite as interested in playtime. Yorden loved eating the healthy food in his foster home, so Rescue Bank provided some for his forever family too. This sweet little pup will be happy and healthy for the rest of his life.

Chihuahua Adopted by New Family

If you buy products from the iHeartDogs store, you’re saving dogs like Yorden. He got a second chance at a happily ever after thanks to Greater Good’s Rescue Bank. Thank you to all the heroes out there who have purchased items to help dogs in need. Every product sold makes a difference!

The following products provide quality dog food for shelters and rescues, helping them reserve more of their precious funds for medical expenses, supplies, and spreading the word about their adoptable pups.
